Much like many new mothers, as soon as I was pregnant with my first, I dove into everything pregnancy and birth related. I decided I wanted to have a homebirth, and in trying to be as prepared and educated as possible, I came across having a doula and instantly knew that not only did I want a doula at my birth, but I wanted to become a doula.

At 30 weeks pregnant, I took a DONA certified course and found my birth doula all at the same time. Since, I have attended many births and aided even more women virtually throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum (see Testimonials).

Now, 2 pregnancies and 2 births later (one at the hospital and one at home) – my passion has only grown. For over 6 years, I have supported families with their hospital and home births, have done many prenatal visits and postpartum support, working alongside both midwives and doctors. I would love to support, educate, and help you confidently navigate your entire birth journey, from conception to welcoming your baby home, and beyond.

Birth is beautiful and exciting, but also unpredictable, and there can be so much anxiety that comes with it all, especially for new parents. By being informed and having an advocate, you can have a positive birth experience. With the proper support in place, you can feel empowered every step of the way.

Growing up as one of nine children, I’ve been surrounded by pregnancy and children for much of my life. My passion and love for pregnancy and birth blossomed as my mother shared her own birthing experiences with me and my siblings, sparking a deep-seated passion for supporting women during this transformative time.

I pursued doula training and became a certified birth doula through GoMidwife, complemented by additional midwifery education and a year-long apprenticeship under a midwife in the US. This experience has sharpened my abilities in recognizing the boundaries of normal birth, advocating for mothers, effectively communicating with medical professionals, and providing educational tools, resources, and coaching to support women.

Since 2020, I’ve served as a doula and student midwife, attending over 70 births. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that knowledge and confidence in the natural birthing process can significantly alleviate fear and empower women to persevere, fostering hope-filled, positive birth experiences regardless of the outcome.

I believe that God intricately designed women’s bodies to give birth naturally, and in most cases, they are capable of doing so without medical intervention. While I acknowledge the necessity of interventions when warranted, my goal is to equip mothers with the understanding that their bodies are beautifully and intelligently crafted to nurture and birth their babies. I strive to empower them to make informed decisions, embracing whatever circumstances arise during their birth journeys.
