Much like many new mothers, as soon as I was pregnant with my first, I dove into everything pregnancy and birth related. I decided I wanted to have a homebirth, and in trying to be as prepared and educated as possible, I came across having a doula and instantly knew that not only did I want a doula at my birth, but I wanted to become a doula.
At 30 weeks pregnant, I took a DONA certified course and found my birth doula all at the same time. Since, I have attended many births and aided even more women virtually throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum (see Testimonials).
Now, 2 pregnancies and 2 births later (one at the hospital and one at home) – my passion has only grown. For over 6 years, I have supported families with their hospital and home births, have done many prenatal visits and postpartum support, working alongside both midwives and doctors. I would love to support, educate, and help you confidently navigate your entire birth journey, from conception to welcoming your baby home, and beyond.
Birth is beautiful and exciting, but also unpredictable, and there can be so much anxiety that comes with it all, especially for new parents. By being informed and having an advocate, you can have a positive birth experience. With the proper support in place, you can feel empowered every step of the way.
